Welcome!
Hello dear visitor!
Welcome to my online atelier! I am feeling grateful that here I can share with you a piece of my work over the years. My wish for this website is that it serves as a permanent gallery and inspiration for everyone.
Since I started painting, many paintings have passed through my atelier. Some of them have been lucky to be captured on numerous photographs.
Those works and all the others that will come by God’s grace I wish to publish in this ever-expanding gallery. I wish you a pleasant stay and I am always available for all questions and suggestions.

Exhibitions
I am the Vine 2007
My first exhibition inspired by verses from
Gospel of John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Lilies 2011
My second exhibition inspired by verses from
Gospel of Matthew 6:28
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
About
Astrid Pritišanac
Painter, artist, creator
Astrid Pritišanac was born in Osijek where she lived and worked until 1998. when she decided to move with her family to Bilje. There she has found an everlasting inspiration in the nearby nature reserve - Kopački rit, that was present within her since her early childhood, when she began to learn painting from her father.
Moving was a defining moment for her, and in this beautiful natural paradise she started to paint intensively and eventually became a professional artist.
Her favorite motives are Kopački rit, homeland motives and Adriatic sea. She is proficient in several painting techniques, but her favorite and main one is oil on canvas and hardboard. She had several public exhibitions and her paintings decorate the interiors around the world.
Branko Pritišanac

Astrid's husband and soulmate. He fully dedicated himself in supporting her calling and said in her own words: "My husband is my professor, art critic, supplier, photographer… but before anything else, an artist."
Ever since his teenage years he had great interest in photography and writing poetry. Astrid's paintings are greatly inspired by his countless photographs and poems.
Some of his poems are published in our gallery:

Techniques
Oil on canvas
- One of the most famous painting techniques is also our primary technique
- The main painting tool is a palette knife, and the base is the painting canvas
- We work in many different standard dimensions
- Main advantage over the carboard - framing is optional , as the painting can stand on its own - without a frame
- More about oil paint
Oil on hardboard
- Painting technique is similar to oil on canvas, but here a hardboard is used as a base
- Its main advantages are slim base, more affordable price, durability and a great overall quality as a painting base
- It is an ideal painting base - long lasting and it does not bend or dry out over time and responds good to humidity
- It is easy to frame and does not require additional mat
- Available in many dimensions, from smallest to largest
